The current design proposal for a two-way bike lane on Dartmouth Street in Back Bay #Boston looks great. Shown off at a community meeting this
evening. Particularly great to see a counter-flow lane going towards the pedestrian overpass to the Esplanade.

My regular running route goes over the Longfellow Bridge into #Boston from Cambridge. And while we have completely fallen in love with #Paris and want to retire there, while Paris is more beautiful than dear, dowdy little Boston in 999 ways out of a thousand, I have to say that the famous Seine is kind of a dinky brown river hemmed in by ugly walls, and the view from the Longfellow is fucking spectacular.

I am used to #Boston having bad traffic and appalling drivers, but my life is structured such that I'm almost never out and about during rush hour. (I'm asleep for the morning rush and at work through the afternoon one.) Today, for various reasons, I walked home at 4 pm on Friday and the behavior on display was as embarrassing as it was infuriating.

Took the corgi out for a walk this morning and the only Electrify America charging station in the city of Boston is getting a nice overdue upgrade.
Quick spin on the new tires
Someone was playing saxophone by Neponset trail. Was he the target of a recent 311 complaint about someone playing saxophone (near Adams & King playground in Dorchester)? 😅
Thanks to everyone who supported WMBR during our annual fundraising drive. We are so excited to have met - and exceeded - our goal!
If you were meaning to donate, it's still possible to do so via our secure donation page: https://www.wmbr.org/fr/pledge2024.php
There are some cool premiums to choose from. And the donation portal will be up for the next week.
The Broadway T station is like every white bro in South Boston fucked their cousins
Perfect example today why better transit benefits everyone, including those who don’t take it regularly.
I regret to my gut that I drove to work today. The rain and red line shut down made a lot of more people drive instead of taking train / biking. It’s not simple as just sitting in traffic listening to music on freeway. I had to literally squeeze my way through thanks to Boston’s historic street layout and planning and the collective terrible driving behaviors.
I’d rather bike in the rain!
Keytar Bear is in downtown crossing T this morning!! Even a few seconds of his music when the doors open on the train is delightful.
A driver almost ran over a construction worker on Mass Ave near Symphony who was directing traffic, while four cyclists waiting patiently in the bike lane. Everyone was yelling at the driver.
And I was told bike lanes were the problem?
Someone was getting arrested at Mass & Cass today. Several police cruisers. So I biked on the sidewalk.
Never a dull moment.
