A little wandering and exploration in Savin Hill in Dorchester. Not the Stabbing Hill any more. Great view of downtown Boston (should’ve stopped to snap a pic)

AUTUMN JOY - highs still hitting 50s-60s. Sat looks perfect, tons going on, rain Sunday, fewer happenings. Veterans Day is Tuesday. Your #BostonWeekend thread goes only where *you* share it - Boost to build #Boston #Massachusetts community in non-bigcorp spaces. Enjoy, Enjoy! (1/?)
Gorgeous day for my morning commute

North end Saint Anthony’s Feast
Very crowded, a lot of vendors providing the following food:
- pizza
- stuffed rice balls, which I didn’t know is Italian food?
- Italian sub with sausage
- cannoli
- gelato
- $10 lemonade LOL
And cigars OMG the smell I hated
But the food we got was all delicious and the vibe was great. I also had some raw cherry stone clams but I’m still not sure if it’s a right decision to eat raw seafood from street vendors 😂

City Council candidate hates bike lanes so much she parked in one, screw bicyclists, but it didn't end well for her

Josh is doing a 10k run tomorrow in Providence so the plan is that I'd bike to PVD to meet him at the finish line. He estimates he'd finish around 10:15am, so I'd leave by 7:30am
It'd be 31 F with wind chill as low as 21 F in the morning
I'll put on my warmest layers. I got toe warmer today. Good luck to me.

IT WIMDY - an Abridged #BostonWeekend thread posted on a Sunday (been travelin’, and dealing with surprise joint pain). So, venture out into #Boston, friend!
Sure, there is a gale warning til 7am but unless you identify as a kite, it’ll be fine. https://www.wunderground.com/severe/us/ma/somerville/02143 Enjoy, enjoy! 1/x
A little bit of mixed modes today:
Grabbed a blue bike at 4:43pm and rode to the Apple store in East Cambridge from Kendall.
At 4:57pm I got the iPad mini I ordered for Josh and grabbed another blue bike riding to Park St to catch the red line train.
At 5:10pm I was waiting for the train.
Literally no other mode of transportation could be this efficient and easy around the city.
I know it’s fun to hate on the T but man have they made progress. Got off my (early!) Amtrak train and went down to the Red Line. Train to Davis showed up within 30 seconds. The Red Line moved smoothly and quickly. Get to Davis and my bus home shows up in 3 minutes. We are getting close to having a fully functional transit system again. #mbta #boston
Developers propose 35 affordable condos across from BWSC HQ as first phase of undoing a massive urban-renewal mistake in the 1970s

The whole city of Boston has only one DC fast charger that’s >= 100kw and it’s almost always full - it’s pretty close to where I live though.
City of Boston should do better. Install DC fast chargers on city owned lots.

The current design proposal for a two-way bike lane on Dartmouth Street in Back Bay #Boston looks great. Shown off at a community meeting this
evening. Particularly great to see a counter-flow lane going towards the pedestrian overpass to the Esplanade.
I think it's my first time walking over Charles on Longfellow bridge! I've biked millions of times but never walked! Such a beautiful city!
