This was a lot of fun to revisit. Another one I read decades ago. This has so many of my favorite short SK stories in it. Many many classics.
This book turned out a remarkable ELEVEN movie + tv adaptations. Absolutely insane. Talk about legendary.
Really hard to pick a favorite but Battleground is so much fun.

The trials & adventures of rabbits setting up a new warren: strange cultures, claw-biting escapades and the terror of war. Similar to Wind in the Willows but the anthropomorphism is weaker and the characters less vibrant. It's just as misogynistic: does are thought of as mere 'breeding stock', though worth fighting over. Drags along though it builds to a decent climax.
In 19th-century Dublin, a disillusioned doctor and a fallen woman cross paths, sparking a forbidden love that defies society's judgments.

The Garden of Small Beginnings by Abbi Waxman and Emily Rankin (Narrator) (2017) is about grief and gardening. Lillian Girvan lost her husband three years ago to a horrific car crash in front of their home. With the help of her sister she has managed to pull her life together and raise her two daughters. Now as her long time job as a textbook illustrator is phasing out she's taking a gardening class with her family.

I've finished: Midnight Robber by Nalo Hopkinson
It was hard watching Tantan struggle to come to terms with what was done to her.
It was interesting to see how the midnight robber helps her cope.
Add some wonderful aliens to contrast the limitless stupidity of the humans and you get a challenging and compelling mix of SF&F.

The Soul of an Octopus by Sy Montgomery (2015) is part memoir and part biology book, all centered on the octopuses the author met during her research for the book. The four main ones are Athena, Octavia, Kali and Karma, who lived at the New England Aquarium in Boston.

I had seen the movie several times, and now I have finally come around to reading the book.
Synopsis:
Eleven-year-old Mark Sway is just a regular kid who ends up in the absolute worst place at the worst possible time.
