Ben Rosencrantz is home to run his father's gaming shop after a lackluster career as a literature professor. The shop is slowly but surely failing just as his father's health is, but he's determined to keep it open as long as possible.

I started reading the series because of the recent anime adaptation.

I'm watching a time travel / past life / alternate timeline story (I'm being fuzzy on identifying details because I don't want to spoil it for anyone), and I've finally hit the beat where the female lead explains to the male romantic lead why she knows what she knows...
...AND HE BELIEVES HER. 🔥
This is truly one of my favourite tropes and one of the hottest scifi/fantasy + romance tropes of all time.
Is this because women and other marginalized people are so rarely believed and supported by cis men / members of dominant cultural groups? Yes, it is: we are hungry to be seen and believed.
Want to knock the socks off of marginalized people (or at least this girl)? Listen to us, believe us, and trust our authority and expertise regarding our lived experiences (vs mansplaining, gaslighting, ignoring, etc.)
This is truly top tier hotness and sexiness. 💋

Książka w stylu "Black Metal. Ewolucja kultu", czyli bardzo dobra. Aczkolwiek początek mnie zniechęcał, bo wydawało mi się, że autor idzie wręcz na konfrontację z czytelnikiem i chce pokazać, że będzie ostro. A jest w porządku, inny klimat USA niż Europy, może trochę mniej historii, niektóre zespoły faworyzowane, ale czytało sie bardzo dobrze. Zachęca do poznania zespołów.
