"The CIA As Organized Crime : How Illegal Operations Corrupt America and the World" by Douglas Valentine

Mr. Valentine is on Twitter. You can go there and you can see what a huge liberal he is, and how he essentially tripped over these ideas after he wrote The Phoenix Program, and got disgusted with Seymour Hersh’s take on his own ideas. That being said he’s the type of liberal which communists can certainly enjoy reading. (As his own critique of the alt media is easily led to himself and his curious story about being fed papers by a certain CIA officer. I’m not saying that Doug was tasked with distributing a limited hangout but there may have been even more unsavory stuff about the Phoenix program which we never find out from books like his and it would have been wise for a certain career as CIA officer or South Vietnamese policemen to sandbag other members of their organization without revealing too much of the really, really nasty stuff that you don’t want people to ever know that you’ve done like Unit 731 type shit.) When he’s not comparing the United States to the USSR, or complaining about gulags, he’s making very salient points about how the intellectual apparatus manages journalism, and how the CIA uses whistleblowers and other leverage over them to grant access to people like Daniel Ellsberg, Jeremy Skaill, Glenn Greenwald, and other darlings of the alt media, and make money off of them. Apologies for any dictation errors. Also, I am rather sleepy. I just wanted to give you a little bit of background on what the title means and why this book might be worth reading. I think it’s seriously underlooked. Also, I actually enjoy when a writer is a good scholar, but someone who I ideologically disagree with. So, his, little liberal sprinklings in there are fun to pick apart.
