<p>As readers, aren’t we all searching for those books that grab your attention and force you to read one more page, one more chapter and before you know it, it’s the witching hour and you just devoured 200+ pages, finished the book, and are still wanting more mayhaps? </p><p>Not all books can take you for a ride but I love the ones that do. Mick Herron’s Slow Horses was a series like that for me. I discovered it years ago and binged at least the first two books in one sitting. I just couldn’t stop. Edition of Book With Wrong ISBN Printed?

<p>While cataloging our books my wife mentioned she had an ISBN she couldn’t find online. Figured I’d take a shot at it and after diving in for an hour or two, I’ve got nothing official to point to. If anything it seems like a mis-print or possible double-assignment. I’m not expecting anyone here to do the work to find it. I more just want to know if this type of stuff is common and I might be looking for something that doesn’t exist. Are ISBN and/or copyright mis-prints or mis-assignments more common than I (layman) realized?</p><p>If anyone does want to take a look, here is the info along with what I’ve scrounged up so far:</p><p>Title: Libra<br>Author: Don DeLillo<br>Format: Paperback<br>ISBN-10 (printed on book): 0965026040<br>ISBN-13 (printed on book): 9780965026048<br>Publisher: Quality Paperback Book Club<br>Link to cover: <a href="https://images.isbndb.com/covers/15925993482531.jpg" rel="nofollow">images.isbndb.com/covers/15925993482531.jpg</a>Interior Note: “This edition was especially created in 2001 for Quality Paperback Book Club by arrangement with Viking, a member of Penguin Putnam Inc. All rights reserved.”</p><p>My notes:</p><p><p>I don’t believe the ISBN-10 can be correct since the check digit on the end shouldn’t be a 0 it should be a 3, right?</p><br><p>Searching by ISBN-13 and the corrected(?) ISBN-10 returns a different book on most ISBN DBs (isbnsearch, worldcat, amazon)</p><p>The other book is Russian Journal by Sarah Phillips<br>Worldcat returns entries for both books, showing them with the same ISBN numbers.</p><br><p>isbnsearch shows the registration information for Russian Journal but the cover art for Libra.</p><br><p>I’ve found a couple examples of this version of Libra for sale on used book sites with the wrong ISBN-10 info but I’m assuming that’s just the seller entering what’s printed on the book.</p><br><p>Not sure how relevant this is but I pulled up all of Bookspan’s copyrights on copyright.gov and didn’t see this one.</p></p><p>My current theory is that this ISBN belongs to Russian Journal and that this edition of Libra has mis-printed info. However, is there any way to confirm which book is incorrect?</p>

This is a Byzantine-style Orthodox icon of St. Kassiani, identified by the Greek inscription as "the hymnographer".
