Rated The Moustache 4/10
An interesting concept, and in places the story is a real page-turner. But in other places I found the writing boring and repetitive. This could still have been a 3-star read for me, except for the last two pages, where the book suddenly takes a turn that left a bad taste in my mouth.

Rated Armageddon 8/10
This book still delivers as a page-turner, but it’s where the series starts to feel overly convoluted, with characters becoming too powerful. That said, the plot developments that *do* happen are satisfying - especially Alex and Dom's arcs. One more book to go!

Rated Wind and Truth 8/10
Wind and Truth is a solid entry in The Stormlight Archive and a good capstone to its first main story arc. The writing is good and engaging, and the long build-up is very eventful. Still, at 1,330 pages, there is just so much of it. This could easily have been two decent-sized books, and I was somewhat glad to be done with it by the end.

Rated Hogfather 6/10
While I really (REALLY) miss Stephen Briggs' character work, I love that Bill Nighy is so present as Death in this one, along with the main narration and other characters by Sian Clifford.
The novel itself is fun as usual for Pratchett and there are plenty of new, memorable characters here, but Nighy's Hooo, hooo, hooooos are what made me laugh frequently.
Susan, the Death of Rats (squeak), and Quoth the raven were all great additions to spend time with as well.

Rated 3 Days, 9 Months, 27 Years 6/10
I’m a sucker for science fiction short stories that change one or two aspects of reality and explore the consequences.
Scalzi does that well in this story, and the writing works for me. I especially liked how the different travelers allow the story to explore several scenarios.
The ending was less satisfying than I’d hoped for, though, so this lands at 3 stars for me.

Rated The Amber Spyglass 8/10
Much more philosophical than the previous two books, *The Amber Spyglass* explores concepts like free will, divine authority, and how love can take many different forms.
I found some characters and their choices a bit too obvious and over-the-top, while others were a bit too subtle and drawn out. But overall, I enjoyed the story. Given how explicitly it deals with religion, I get how it may be hard to stomach for certain folks. For me, though, it was a fascinating exploration of these ideas and a good ending to an interesting trilogy.

Rated The Three Coffins 6/10
showed up on a “best detective stories of all time” list, so I decided to read it. I must admit that this was not my personal favorite detective story of all time. The story is not bad, but its age shows, and the writing style came across as rather snobbish to me. It makes me wonder how this mystery would read if it was rewritten by a modern writer.

Rated Er moet iets gebeuren 4/10
verschillende verhalen, de meeste zonder begin of eind. Weinig boeiend, al is de schrijfstijl fijn. Pas na een flinke tijd besef ik dat het losse verhalen zijn, terwijl ik nog wachtte op samenhang. Niet handig
