Rated The Future: Six Drivers of Global Change 8/10
The biggest strength of this book is that it ties so many factors and industries together into one compelling argument about the direction of civilization and the effects of excessive consumption and pollution. The biggest flaw, albeit an almost unpreventable one, is the sheer amount of data and supporting evidence it presents.

Given the author, any argument made without enormous supporting evidence will be dismissed by many as political posturing. Of course, many will dismiss it as such anyway, as unfortunate as that may be. But so much data and information makes for a cumbersome read, and such slowness detracts from the argument's effectiveness. Too bad, because the information presented, the challenges highlighted, and the solutions presented are all important and well considered.

I definitely recommend it to people of any political persuasion as an assessment of where we currently stand and as a means of furthering a constructive dialogue. Sadly, I believe the people who most need to read it (those who get their information from social media or television) will be unwilling to make the required effort.

Rated The Drowning Faith 10/10
This confirmed a few things that I expected for a while (and they were hinted at as well). In a few pages even more depth is given to already very intriguing and intricate characters.

Very well written story about loneliness - from a writing-world point of view.
