Reviewed Countdown to Zero Day: Stuxnet and the Launch of the World's First Digital Weapon
This is a great one for anyone who is interested in InfoSec. This is a story about the world’s first (known) digital weapon. If you haven’t heard of Stuxnet, hold on to your socks. This thing sounds like the bad plot to a low-budget, doomsday film. The weirdest part of this book is that it all really happened.
If you have not heard of it before, Stuxnet was a computer virus that was created to physically thwart Iran’s ability to enrich uranium. That’s right, a computer virus to physically put a stop to Iran’s ability to create nuclear weapons.
I don’t want to give too much of the story away, but this is a great listen. Even if you’re not really into InfoSec, it is very interesting.

Rated Love and Math: The Heart of Hidden Reality 8/10
This book isn't going to be for everyone, but I really enjoyed it. There are a few chapters in the book that can easily be skipped, if you don't want to understand all the math behind some of the topics he is talking about in the book. I suggest this book for any mathematics major currently in school, or anyone who is interested in mathematics in general. I also suggest this book for anyone who is interested in discrimination within the USSR against Jewish people.
I thought this was a lovely read, and return to it about once a year. There is one particular part of the story that really emphasizes the Cold War for all of us who weren't around, or too young to remember it. The part when the author visits a grocery store in the United States for the first time is really eye-opening.
