Rated Mountainfit: Fjällsommar, Fjällsjälv 8/10

Sethi's book is a beautiful meditation on her travels to Sweden, where she assisted in the tracking of various species of birds. While I'm not much of a nature-book reader, nor do I particularly know anything about birds, I really enjoyed <i>Mountainfit</i>. Sethi's openhearted enthusiasm for what she learns and encounters is contagious, and the way she writes is closer to poetry than journalism. <br><br>Sethi wrote a guest post for my site about the Swedish coffee break called <i>fika</i>, and also gave a recipe for a cinnamon roll-esque recipe, <i>kanelbullar</i>. <a href="http://glorifiedloveletters.blogspot.com/2013/10/guest-post-by-meera-lee-sethi-fika-with.html">Check it out here.</a>

Rated Night Song of the Last Tram: A Glasgow Childhood 8/10

<div>This memoir of a childhood in post-WWII Glasgow was far less "noble poor" than the previous Glasgow memoir I read, though the grim moments were not sensationalized either. The whole book is an interesting set of snapshots from a particular time in history, and it was both useful to me for the reasons that I read it, but also in general a decent book. I'd be interesting in reading more of his work.</div>

Rated Actress of a Certain Age: My Twenty-Year Trail to Overnight Success 10/10

<div>Absolutely recommend doing the audiobook version of this because Jeff Hiller reads it himself, and it really adds to the whole experience. It's a realistic and funny view of the hard work involved in acting, no matter what version of it you do — whether it's on a semi-cult HBO show during Peak Pandemic Times or pretending to be a cockroach in Times Square for a day because it pays $500 and has a free lunch. I truly laughed to the point of tears several times, and I remember seeing a few of his commercials back when they aired. The essays are great, but alas, my library audiobook did not come with the PDF of photos. He thanks Kate Dipold at the end, and it reminded me that I hope we get to see more from his character on S2 of Widow's Bay.&nbsp;</div>
