As fast-paced and engaging as the first book in the series, but still felt shallow. Some plotlines stood out more than others, especially the longer, more emotional ones. I thoroughly enjoyed this book in the series, and by now consider these Awaken Online side quest books a must-read as they deepen out the character arcs and provide immersive side stories.<br/><br/>The repeated “sickening pop” that I complained about in my review of book #4 hardly occurs in this book, so yay for that too.
