More of a 3.5. It's pretty good, and I'd be interested to see where the story goes, but something about the end of this one seemed rushed. Maybe it'll make more sense when partnered with the second book. I wasn't in love, but I liked it fine.

Rated An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth: What Going to Space Taught Me About Ingenuity, Determination, and Being Prepared for Anything 10/10

Loved this. This book makes me feel like we can make it all right, if we keep going. Hadfield writes very methodical account of how he worked towards his goal of being an astronaut, but also how he made sure to have varied enough interests that, if it didn't work out, he'd still be happy. Of course, the details about life in space and what it takes to work for NASA are also fascinating. This isn't a greatly emotional, interior-looking memoir, but it doesn't have to be. There's the vastness of the universe to consider!
