I wrote about the weird ways people take pretty things out of context and include them in their weddings, things like quotes from Shakespeare tragedies and historical sites of horrible human suffering.
PSA for people with #Wordpress blogs: do you know that you can turn off comments on old posts?
In the last few months I have noticed a significant uptick in spammy comments on my Wordpress blogs (I have 4).
Well there is a way to remedy all that: you can simply turn off comments on old blog posts by going to:
Settings -> Discussion -> and checking "Automatically close comments on old posts"
(You can even determine the "oldness" of posts, for example, older than 7 days, 14 days... anything you'd like)
Enabling this made all the difference for me. I could not recommend it more.

现在这个博客的“建站”日其实应该是 2020 年 10 月 29 日，时隔多年之后终于趁着建长毛象的时候域名买都买了克服了拖延症重回独立博客界。虽然用 Wordpress 的时候也挺高产，但远不如迁移到 hugo 之后来得上心，遂用静态博客启用的时间（2023 年 5 月 31 日）开始作为现在这个博客的建站纪念日。这一晃竟然就是第二个周年的博客总结了，不折腾如我装修小记也写到第四篇了。时光飞逝岁月如梭啊。

过去的两年里我都做了 DEXA scan，于是这逐渐从一次好玩变成了每年 benchmark 身体健康状况和健身成果的年度活动。
除了体脂率的小退步之外，其它数值都是正向的变化，其实怎么看来都是个不错的结果，一年来的更健康的习惯肯定整体是对身体有利的。且年初经历了卵巢囊肿爆掉病了半年，外加上班举铁时间少了，肌肉也没掉，很高兴了。
