Been away from social media this last week, looking after my heart cat. She had surgery to have a fast-growing cancerous tumor removed from her left hind leg. They could not get clear margins, but got as much as they could.
She is doing very well and taking her pain meds like the little trooper that she is. (Nothing wrong with her front leg- she was walking towards me and it’s hidden behind her collar). #blackcats #blackcatsofmastodon #catsofmastodon

1. Thankful for my 91+ year old dad. Despite his frustrations at aging, he continues to show and exhibit much grace and compassion to those around him.
2. Thankful for the cooler weather here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
3. Thankful for the 2 characters pictured here - our 10+ year old sister and brother black cats. Girlie on the left and Fat Boy on the right. They are as different from each other as they can be.
