Der nördliche Teil Kreuzbergs ist der wohl wichtigste Entstehungsort des Anarchismus in Deutschland. Doch ist dieser Teil der Geschichte Berlins kaum bekannt. Nichts im öffentlichen Raum erinnert daran. Dabei sollte der freiheitliche Sozialismus gerade heute wieder interessieren: Der kapitalistische Normalbetrieb treibt die Welt in den Abgrund, und der Staatssozialismus hat, anstatt zu einer Alternative, zu starren bürokratischen Regimen geführt.
Vor diesem Hintergrund setzt sich die Gustav Landauer Initiative seit vielen Jahren für ein Berliner Landauer-Denkmal ein, um an das uneingelöste Versprechen eines freiheitlichen Sozialismus zu erinnern. Gustav Landauer (1870-1919) gilt als der bedeutendste Vertreter dieser Strömung im deutschsprachigen Raum – und er hat fast drei Jahrzehnte in Berlin gelebt und gewirkt.
Ausgehend vom Rio-Reiser-Platz gehen wir entlang einiger Stationen, die eng mit dem Wirken Landauers in Kreuzberg verbunden sind, zum geplanten Standort für das Landauer-Denkmal am Mariannenplatz. Hier schließt sich eine Führung durch die Landauer-Ausstellung der Initiative an, die unter Mitwirkung namhafter Wissenschaftler*innen und Archive zum 100. Todestag Landauers entstanden ist.
Referent: Jan Rolletschek, ist Kulturwissenschaftler und im Vorstand der Gustav Landauer Initiative. Er forscht seit vielen Jahren zu Gustav Landauer, über den er auch promoviert.

Eine Anmeldung ist nicht notwendig.
