And now, the frame in the anti-anxiety filmstrip in my head is an actual filmstrip from our wildlife cam! It’s raccoon playtime on our back deck this morning! Look at those glowing eyes as they wrestle each other! (and now I know why our screen is always all twisted up and frayed!)
The watcher on the wall.

“…But green's the color of Spring.
And green can be cool and friendly-like.
And green can be big like an ocean, or important like a mountain, or tall like a tree.
When green is all there is to be.
It could make you wonder why, but why wonder why?
Wonder, I am green and it'll do fine, it's beautiful!
And I think it's what I want to be.”
- Kermit (lyrics from It’s Not Easy Being Green)

Often find #frogs in the water reservoir on top of my Greenstalk planter. This one had its own surfboard, Cowabunga dude.

Eastern Gray #Squirrel on our back fence. Very cold for them here this week, had a few nights go below freezing, more to come they say. I put out peanuts on our back fence feeders every morning, and there is a competition with the blue jays and woodpeckers and each other to snatch them up. They go quickly.

My strawberry plants are blooming & starting to produce fruit again and this #squirrel was on the job, crawling all over the GreenStalk planter and carefully inspecting their progress.

Friday was the Vernal Equinox and as if on cue, this cottontail swamp #rabbit made an appearance in our backyard that morning. I take it as a harbinger of #spring. It’s squeezing in through a gap under the fence to eat the dried corn that the squirrels drop. I usually leave the naming of wild animal visitors (if we must) to others in this household, but they suggested Bugsy. I prefer BOB as in Big Ol’ Bunny.
Caught this #squirrel splooting in one of the trees behind our backyard a few days ago. Sometimes you just need a good sploot. Temperatures here hit 90F (32C) earlier in the week, they’ve since come down to more seasonable coolness, but the sustained summer heat is not far off 😞.
