Avalanche IV

Avalanche IV is actually the fifth and last in a series of images that I captured skiing at Snowbird in Utah.
Taken from the top of Snowbird I captured this sequence starting from the cornice blast to this concluding image.
This final image is one of my favorites from this sequence as it shows some scale to the whole event.
Here the avalanche is starting to settle.

Avalanche IV

This is the last image in a series of 4 captured at the Snowbird Ski Resort near Salt Lake City.
The image shows an avalanche starting to slow and settle into a bowl area at the ski resort.
In the bottom corner of the image is a groomed ski run that passes on the left of some taller pine trees. The bowl is more like a funnel with steep cliffs on 3 sides of the image. The trees in the lower right hand corner shows a sense of size and scale to the avalanche.
