"Morning In The Laurel Highlands" ...

A lush forest scene in the Laurel Highlands of Central Pennsylvania showcases tall trees with vibrant green foliage under a bright blue sky. Morning sunlight filters through the branches, casting dappled shadows on the ground.

A view of the distant mountains from the top of Blue Knob All Seasons Resort in full spring is a fine sight to wake up to. Grab your coffee and pull up a chair ... let's enjoy this magical moment as we gaze out over the ski slopes covered in greens and golds instead of their winter coating of frosty white snow.

Loosely based on my own photo and digitally hand painted in Corel Painter 2023 using the Wacom tablet and art pen stylus. No artificial intelligence programs used. A large, wooden dragon sculpture situated in a vibrant, sun-dappled forest. The sculpture, crafted from various pieces of natural wood and logs, including a large tree trunk for its body, dominates the lower half of the frame. Its head, sculpted with an open mouth and visible teeth, is particularly detailed and faces towards the right. Pieces of wood are used to suggest horns or spikes on its head and back. The forest itself is lush and green, with tall trees, mostly deciduous, forming a dense canopy that allows patches of sunlight to filter through and illuminate the scene, creating a sense of depth and ethereal light.

The wooden sculptures are part of the Skulpturenpfad by Thomas Rees near Freiburg.
