Last one for #SuperbOwl Sunday. Owls (and other Arctic Predators, avian and mammal) use rises and hummocks to scan for prey, using the same spots year after year. Their waste and remains of prey fertilize the spot and the plants grow taller there than the surrounding tundra. In an ATV trip to Innaaluup Nuvua last summer we stopped at the top of this magnificent valley above Innaarulaalikuluk and Admiralty Inlet. #Nunavut #Arctic #LandscapePhotography

A panorama from a top of a wide sweeping valley that leads down to the Arctic Ocean. The sides of the valley are fluted with gullies and richly coloured in browns and greens. Some snow remains a long the edges of the valley. The blue sky is dotted with small clouds and the low Sun casts a golden glow along the horizon. Ice remains on the ocean.
