@autistics @actuallyadhd 14 months since my autism diagnosis. Almost seems as though I've become "more autistic" since. I suspect, though, that's a fresh new hell of autistic burnout setting in perhaps flavored with a splash of depression. Going out on routine errands is exhausting and overwhelming. A simple phone call with a veterinarian's office depletes me. It's difficult to find motivation for damn near anything.
There are some relatively new studies that try to describe the autistic burnout experience. See "Burnout as experienced by autistic people: A systematic review"

Wednesday started early at around 06:30 - AKA crack of sparrows fart!
A quick cuppa then down to the gym.
Breakfast & chores were achieved when I got back.
Went out to the shops while Mrs S had a guy visit her regarding her mums estate.
Managed to get some nice grub without getting too many goodies!
Spent the afternoon chasing around the Milky Way, as one does.
Final Thoughts.
Not a bad day at all, it’s not been very warm out of what little sun we got but it looks like the temps might pick up over the next few days.
I need to see about getting so railway sleepers for the garden

People ask each other here, would you cure your Autism if that was a thing (it is not), and I will tell you I could use a better body, but I love my Autistic brain so much that I spend every waking minute high off my ass so that I see only reflections of my own mind as much as possible in this Allistic world.

A much quieter day today, nothing much to report.
That said, me n Mrs S did get out asses down to the polling station & did our bit to stave off the very real risk of the UK following the US to the dark side!
Final Thoughts.
I am struggling to get things done, although I am making the effort to get to the gym now that I’ve started there. I’m hoping that it becomes a habit that will carry me thru the cold dark mornings next winter!

@autistics #ActuallyAutistic i’m technically on vacation since yesterday, but spent 6 hours yesterday, will have spent 4 hours today, and another 2-3 hours tomorrow doing board work
this doesn’t include another 3 hours of work next week while still on vacation
all while fellow board members are taking their time off and not doing any day job and board work
and yet i'm the one who is oppositonally defiant and not appropriately collaboriative

…and never bothered to introduce herself (but we’re rude/socially awkward)…
…venue transition was fine and got back in touch with my poor white trash roots by buying the cheapest water i could find to rinse my hands since i have a 2 hour wait …

Up early to go to the gym, it is getting a little easier which is good!
Breakfast & chores when I got home then spent the day avoiding the news by romping around the virtual Milky Way!
Pizza burger & chips for tea, very slightly less bad for me than actual pizza!

…wasn't just the content, but it was the delivery of thier conversation that had me like “Huh?”…
…also, clearly i overdid it since i was so sore all night and am so happy i just have one screening today

Interactions don't happen in a vacuum.
They don't just happen between 2 people.
They also involve the people who are just "uninvolved" bystanders and people who hear a retelling of events later.
Even people who are present and witness a situation can come to a very distorted impression of what is happening.
For example because the person misbehaving is their friend, so what they can witness with their own senses right now "can't be happening".
