Wow, what a massive improvement this is over the Marx brothers' rather patchy debut feature *The Cocoanuts*. The musical numbers are way more fun and witty this time, actually serving to advance the plot and no more feeling half-heartedly shoehorned in to tick a box with some film producers. The simple plot doesn't break any new ground but works perfectly at setting the stage for the classic Marx brothers brand of rampage and the comedy hits hard all the way.
