Supposedly based on real-life canadian political history in some way or another… this surreal satire wouldn’t need a lot of tweaking to universally apply to pretty much any political history, anywhere in the world. This is one of the weirdest films i’ve seen in years and i think it’s a glory to behold. Kinda like they fused an unholy trinity of Jodorowsky, Lynch and Wes Anderson with the aesthetics of german expressionism.
