This was a nice little surprise. Good old-fashioned stop-motion magic from the talented people at Aardman Studios. The scenario and atmosphere were clearly inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, and although I’m usually allergic to musicals, I’m willing to make an exception to that rule when the songs are wrapped in an enchanting little animated tale like this.
