The Spider-Man - Review
starts off strong, tense, and taut—we're given a firsthand seat to the titular spider-man selecting a victim and luring her into his web—then crashes gears into what feels like a dozen old slow cop detective show serials badly stitched together into a 4 hour movie. except it's 2 hours, which does ultimately, eventually, build back up again to its deranged, frenetic climax. really, the film could have benefited from the obvious: you gotta give the people more spider-man!
