a review of 龙卷风

I saw the original Twister in an Amsterdam movie theatre in 1996. Being a computer graphics guy, I loved experiencing the particle simulation effects that were state of the art back then. And director Jan de Bont was a fellow Dutchman, which gave it an extra dimension. Twisters managed to pay a successful tribute to the original Twister. The story is nice, the characters are appealing, the effects are convincing, and the subject matter is more relevant than ever. I thought Twisters had some unmistakable Spielberg vibes, then I saw in the end titles that Spielberg was the executive producer. Some elements were a bit too drenched in American chauvinism to my taste, but overall, I enjoyed Twisters.
