Flic Story (1975)

The first time I saw Flic Story was on television in the early 1980s, when I was still a boy. The film made an impression on me, particularly the scene where the villain (Trintignant) makes a daring jump out of a window onto a roof, followed by the cop (Delon). Trintignant was charismatic as ever, and Delon hadn't lost his great looks, although he had lost his youthfulness by then, which is probably partly due to his chain smoking habit, which was emphasized in just about every scene of Flic Story. Although Flic Story is not a Melville class film, it's still a decent and relatively realistic crime flick, with the added dimension of being based on a true story.
