Asbury Pines - Review

A unique twist on incremental combined with visual novel, this game delightfully presents the story of a small town through the ages. There's weird and quirky people, animals, plants and locations to discover - each with their own identity that flesh out the in-game world. Its not grindy like the incremental genre is infamous to be, and the drip feeding of story beats keeps you coming back for more.

There are a few caveats with it being in Early Access, the UI navigation and scaling specially can be irritaing at times. The liitle music there is, is repititive and while adding to the atmosphere gets samey after a while.

That said, its a nice compact well-presented package that doesn't overstay its welcome. Its not a long game to complete. maybe for 100% achievements you might extend your playtime artificially. Kudos for trying something new and experimental.
