a review of The Surfer

Generally speaking, I’ve got a soft spot for Nic Cage and his signature FUBAR characters. But whether a Nic Cage film is worth it, is a matter of hit and miss. The Surfer turned out to be a miss for me. Campiness can be entertaining, but the acting in The Surfer was so bad that I could not get into the film. The credibility of the events was equally horrible, so I turned this off after about ten minutes. Couldn’t bear watching it any longer than that.
