The Incredible Shrinking Woman (1981)I disagree with the people saying this is a kids movie (as in, made specifically for kids). There is quite a bit of feminist bent in this film, comparable to something like The Stepford Wives. Nobody listens to Pat and it gets worse and worse as she gets smaller, including her children and husband and the host of a talk show she is invited on. While she does insist on being independent as her circumstances change, her family expects her to continue with housework and cooking despite becoming so small it becomes dangerous to do so. When 6 inch tall Pat suggests that advertising got them into this mess, her husband gets so angry at her criticizing his field of work that he takes the kids and leaves. Plus the repeated gag of her husband reading a book about getting used to a sexless marriage. The pastel aesthetics of this film are perfect and camp. Bonus synth nerdery: this film score is by synth legend Suzanne Ciani who was doing a lot of work for commercials at this time. Absolutely perfect choice 10/10. Here is a playlist on her youtube channel of commercials she has done the music for, including a 10 minute behind the scenes of her making the music for a dishwasher commercial. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CchYT2lUR6o&list=PLJPztq7aAo9zR17frOo6-SUuzsmDWcDaw
