Well, this was a surprise. After commercial trash such as Transformers, Michael Bay shows that he can actually use his talent for immersive action scenes to make a decent film. Despite some chauvinistic American flag scenes and a lot of talk about "saving Americans" in stead of "saving human lives", 13 Hours impressed me, especially because it is based on true events, and because it contains a critical note towards authorities failing to support brave soldiers protecting citizens with their own lives.
