Currently enjoying Sam Raimi's Ash vs Evil Dead series, I just had to see the original film again, for probably the tenth time in my life. And I still enjoy it, being a fan of Raimi's caricatural, over the top film style. The make-up effects, the extreme perspective shots, the sound design, and of course the irreplaceable Bruce Campbell, who further developed the classic Ash character in the slightly less remarkable Evil Dead sequels, all ingredients that have turned The Evil Dead into a timeless cult classic.
