Another oldie i'm pretty sure i've previously seen many years ago but i can't say it holds up too well.
I think i'm reaching a point where i'm starting to prefer spaghetti western to the real thing, as at least everybody - including the (anti-)hero - is kind of a scumbag in most italian flicks which doesn't lend itself quite as much to that mix of outdated morals, gun advocacy and copaganda that's hard to overlook in most american western films from today's perspective.
This one, sadly, has it all including a rather basic, almost stereotypical plot, a musical interlude and the inevitable stock characters of earnest and super-righteous sheriff, his wacky comic-relief deputy and your average 1950s teenage heartthrob. For what it is, it works pretty well but is also kinda shallow entertainment and i better not think too much about its moral views and implications.
