Tenebre - Review

Dario Argento operating in classic giallo mode here. This flick once again embodies everything i love and hate about both the director and the genre as a whole. On the plus side - as was to be expected - the film is dripping with style and atmosphere. The synth-heavy score by Goblin kicks plenty of ass while in terms of story and structure, this thing feels almost semi-cohesive. Well, that is if you can get past the mediocre-to-horrible dubbing, some highly implausible behavior and motivation of its characters and a number of plot points that just feel way too random and contrived.
