This documentary was my introduction to the love of my life, modular synthesizers. Though the first time I watched it, I thought, I love these devices made by tiny companies like little works of art. But I don't want to be around these gatekeeping people. This doc did not do much to make it feel like a welcoming community and I didn't get my first synthesizer until several years later. It is also yet another doc where they do Wendy Carlos dirty, but at least I don't remember any weird transphobia in this one (don't quote me on that, i haven't seen it in a bit). Low bar. And Trent Reznor just hating on things in the extended interview.
