Death Race 2000 (1975)

A wild ride. Bonkers camp that is over-the-top to the extreme. Stupid and surprising and corny. Like Idiocracy meets It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World. It's not exactly tongue-in-cheek... it's more like shark-tongue-bursting-through-cheek-with-a-fiery-explosion. According to Wikipedia, Corman was inspired by Rollerball (1975) to make this. IMO, Death Race 2000 beats Rollerball. Monsterdon watch party on Mastodon
