This is a Hammer film with its characteristic emphasis on the the lurid and sensational. Peter Cushing is the marquee name but he isn't really the engine that drives the story (but is perfectly competent in the role he plays). Despite what the title says only one of the twins turns out to have much of a taste for the racy vampire lifestyle. There are buckets of fake blood, some nudity, a fair amount of battery against women including one over the top kill shot, and some creepy special effects here and there.
