a review of 黑暗与邪恶

My wife and I picked The Dark and the Wicked as our Halloween evening movie. We didn’t know anything about it, and judging by the title and cover image, I expected a run-of-the-mill witchcraft type of story. But The Dark and the Wicked turned out to be quite creepy, almost up to the level of Hereditary (2018). It managed to build up the kind of tension and anxiety that leaves you with a certain uncanny feeling, reluctant to go to your dark bedroom alone when the film has ended, despite your rationality. 😅 I do have to add that floating people and people sticking to a ceiling have become really hackneyed by now.
