a review of 我是希斯·莱杰

I am Heath Ledger is an interesting look at the turbulent life of a very talented actor who died regretfully early. Heath Ledger fascinates me ever since his magnificent portrayal of The Joker made a lasting impression on me. He didn't play The Joker, he became The Joker, and that rare magic was perpetuated in The Dark Knight, turning all other actors into his sidekicks. Before seeing I am Heath Ledger I didn't know that Heath was also a passionate photographer, filmmaker and painter, which has elevated my respect for him even higher. Having said all this, I do think the documentary is too glorifying. It almost doesn't touch Ledger's drug and alcohol abuse problems, but mostly presents him as an almost angelic personality.
