Of the two original Bill & Ted flicks, this is clearly the stronger and better written one whose plot - while still not too concerned with logic and cohesion - feels more like a convincing, actual story arc. The jokes in this one hit way harder too thanks to being properly set up. As far as stupid and harmless popcorn entertainment goes, this is as effective as it gets, only losing some steam and showing its age in the finale, where the thing kinda morphs into a 90's hollywood rock'n'roll cliche for a minute or two. But then again, music performances in mainstream cinema have always been - and probably will always stay - kinda awkward.
