a review of 大都会

This time I watched the 1984 Giorgio Moroder version with the contemporary 1980s pop music soundtrack. It was... interesting? Some of the songs did not pair well. Loverboy??? I kind of enjoyed how the colourization was done. It was sorta tasteful, not too wildly outside what you might get with tints in a theatre setting. Some of the in between scoring, especially the synth parts, were pretty good. In the end, it's a 1927 film with anachronistic 80s music over it. Which is maybe an acquired taste. I'm not sure if it made sense in the 80s either.
