I don't think i've ever seen a Fulci flick so far and *The Beyond* does a great job at further sparking my curiosity. The film's a wild and surreal ride through dream logic-driven mix-and-match horror tropes kinda striking me as a fusion of a poor man's Argento with the over-the-top, anything-goes approach of Nobuhiko Obayashi's *Hausu*. Although not technically a Giallo flick, it's kinda structured like one with most of the chaotic, rather nonsensical narrative just serving as a set-up for the gruesome fatalities, where both gore and visual style get cranked up to eleven.
