Haven’t seen this one in ages. Holding up much better than i expected. After Jabberwocky this is clearly another transitional film for Terry Gilliam and although his unique voice as a director wouldn’t fully develop until Brazil hit cinemas, this is probably his first flick where the writing and humor finally breaks away from the old Monty Python formula. While clearly restricted by the genre’s constraints, Gilliams take on an 80’s low-brow family fantasy-comedy is still a thoroughly fun ride.
