There's American Gangster, American Gigolo, American Ninja, and I think they should have called this film 'American Asshole'. The Founder is a revealing film about the origins of the world's largest fast food source, serving assassinated animals in unprecedented quantities. I didn't know the background story, but the ruthless, greedy, unsatisfiable, narcissistic businessman wanted it all and took it all, as is often the case. Michael Keaton gives a fine performance as Ray Kroc, the man who took the McDonald's concept from the two actual founders, and turned the golden arches into real gold. I did find the film a little too slick, too by-the-book Hollywood-esque, but it was worth the watch.
