Creepshow (1982)

Creepshow is entertainingly campy fun, effectively reflecting the pulp horror comics I loved to devour in those years. Being a long-time fan of comic artist Bernie Wrightson, I also bought his comic adaptation of Creepshow back then. Among other parts, Stephen King’s role of a goofy hillbilly finding a meteor is memorable. The brilliant soundtrack deserves a special mention. I bought it on CD around 1990 or so, and still listen to it digitally these days.
