a review of 无辜的人

More of a gothic psycho-drama than a classic example of gothic horror. Although thoroughly well-made, this flick's oldschool writing and acting style hasn't aged all that well but the real kicker for me is the same as with all ambiguously supernatural stories of this kind: Unless you're a religious person or a believer in other kinds of superstition and supernatural mumbo-jumbo, there's not a lot of thrill to get out of this to begin with. And as for the overall message about the grave consequences said superstitions and religious beliefs can have on innocent, unrelated people... yeah, i suppose you kinda new that already. Still totally worth watching for its solid cinematic craftsmanship.
