a review of 穿条纹睡衣的男孩

The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas would be a very good film if it would be aimed at young adolescents. To me the whole film felt like that — a film for twelve year olds about the evils of war. To an audience of that age it wouldn't matter that the family of a German SS officer is played by British actors, and no single German word is said throughout the film. And for an audience of that age the lack of grittiness would be appropriate.
