This was not a great film. The monster was a bit underwhelming, with its main motivation going around and gathering all of its stuff that had been stolen by a dumb frat boy who never even gets punished for his misdeed. The acting, the pacing, the 1980s sex scenes, the strained story logic, none of it really worked. What all of this had to do with an alien who somehow got mummified in Egypt is never worked out. The sarcophagus looked like it was made of painted plywood. I guess it was good that only a few characters get killed, but you don't get to care about the ones that do sufficiently anyhow. At least there was a little representation by people of color, to my surprise.
