I’m a bit out of the loop when it comes to current anime, but whenever i see the Studio 4°C logo crop up somewhere, i’m naturally interested. This french-japanese co-production is quite a dud, sadly. While the whole thing looks is exactly as gorgeous as you’d expect of the °4C crew, a general plot is amost nonexistant, the characters as run-of-the-mill as it gets. Basically this film plays out as an endless succession of action setpieces and tired gangsta-town clichés. Most of all this film lacks any kind of emotional core. Such a horrible waste of talent…
