I never thought three hours of a bunch of people having a serious debate could be both this thrilling and cinematic. Said debate takes place at a mansion in Transylvania just around turn of the 20th century. The opinions and sentiments expressed echo both the upper-class social background of the characters and the era they live in. Some of them still cling on to deeply entrenched religious views while through others, rays of enlightenment and scientific thinking start to creep in. Only rarely is the conversation interrupted by rather unexplainable events.

As i already mentioned, this is basically three hours of people talking so be warned. For me however, time just flew by and although not a lot of stuff happens, this thing is just beautifully shot and spectacularly acted.
