As a long-time Fincher fan, he'd have to try hard to really disappoint me. I even appreciate Alien 3, although in my humble opinion it's one of his lesser productions. I thought The Killer was an entertaining watch. I'd call it a pleasantly dark and cynical take on the James Bond / Mission Impossible genre. Michael Fassbender does a fine job as the matter-of-factly killer, and I loved that fight. Many years after Fight Club, Fincher shows once again how well he can direct intense fights. Last but not least, being a retro-computing aficionado, I spotted an Amiga monitor at the taxi company office. Couldn't clearly see if it was attached to an Amiga computer, but just seeing the monitor being used in the scene already warmed my heart.
